Honoring the Life and Legacy of John Bolin

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our dear friend, colleague, and industry legend, John Bolin, who left us early Saturday morning. While John had been a part of the Oliver Marketing team for only a few years, his influence spanned decades, and his impact on the custom integration (CI) and Sony communities is unmatched.

John’s career reflected his immense knowledge, kindness, and mentorship. From his early days in the Bay Area rep business to his leadership roles at Novidor & Firestone, Electronic Stockroom, and Oliver Marketing, John embodied dedication to his craft and the people he worked with. He was the ultimate Sony Ambassador, a role he carried with pride and distinction.

We will always remember John for his booming voice, encyclopedic knowledge, and thoughtful mentorship. Whether helping a new rep find their footing, sharing his wisdom on Sony check-in calls, or providing heartfelt advice, John’s warmth and professionalism left an indelible mark.
